Mrs. Roper Crew – A Fun Custom Transformation

Sometimes a customer sends me a photo and simply says, “Can you make something special with this?” — and that’s exactly what happened with this piece.

These fabulous ladies were on their way to a Mrs. Roper party, dressed in their colorful caftans and curly red wigs, and the photo already had so much personality and fun. The customer asked me to work from the picture, but gave me the freedom to be creative.

I immediately thought of the classic Three’s Company apartment scene, because Mrs. Roper was such an unforgettable character. So I decided to place these ladies right into that familiar living room setting, turning their group photo into something playful and nostalgic.

And honestly, the expression on Mr. Roper’s face alone was priceless — suddenly finding himself surrounded by five Mrs. Ropers!

Seeing the transformation from the original photo to the finished piece made the whole project even more exciting. It was like stepping into a sitcom moment.

The finished design was created on a custom glass cutting board, making it both a fun conversation piece and a fully functional kitchen item. What started as a simple photo became something unique that brings humor, nostalgia, and personality right into the kitchen.

Projects like this are some of my favorites because they show how a simple photo can be turned into something completely unique. A memory becomes a story — and sometimes even a little bit of television magic.
