Tiki – The Piece That Started It All

This was the very first memorial piece I ever created. It was for our own beloved Tiki.

Losing Tiki was one of the hardest things my family has ever gone through. Anyone who has loved a pet knows they aren’t “just animals” — they are family, companions, and little souls who fill our lives with unconditional love.

When I created this piece, I wanted something that would let us feel close to him again. I imagined him in a peaceful place, surrounded by warmth and light, looking happy and free. Designing it was emotional, but it also helped our heart heal.

Through that experience, I realized firsthand just how deep the bond between people and their pets truly is. I also realized how meaningful it can be to create something lasting that honors that love.

Tiki is the piece that inspired me to begin creating memorial designs for others. Every time I work on one of these pieces, I remember why I started — to help someone hold onto the memory of a friend who meant the world to them.
